A good beach bag balances capacity, durability and easy styling. Before buying, decide what you usually carry, then check the three points below.
Size it against your packing list
Stack the usual items - towel, bottle, sunscreen, a change of clothes - and measure them. Choose a bag one size larger so the straps never take the full weight of an overstuffed load.
Material decides how long it lasts
Water-repellent canvas or woven materials suit the seaside better: sand shakes out and moisture does not linger. A removable, washable lining makes life easier.
